What does a librarian do?

What does a librarian do in the library all day? – Who would actually ask him/herself (or a librarian directly) this simple question? Among other things, we try to answer this question on our blog as well as present ourselves on our other web2.0 sites (see “Links and Contacts”), but at the moment we don’t want to write about ourselves.

We have been the witnesses of the extremely exciting activity which has been taking place in different libraries via Twitter, Facebook, Flickr as well as the personal blogs of librarians. We will be watching the specific activity which is happening at different libraries for five days.
